Terms of Use for Adoptables

I know that you're excitedly searching the
net for adoptions and don't want to read
another set of "terms", but I must state a
few simple rules for adopting the country
cuties from Loria's memorial site.  I promise
they're not too painful! :o)  So here goes!
I will know if you have read them. :o)

You MUST have a WORKING WEBSITE
at the time your request is made and it
must be a family friendly environment.
Please don't request Loria's cuties
if you have a one page site consisting of
a few graphic adoptions only.  If you do,
you're wasting my time and yours.
No profanity, hate, or nudity, or links to other
sites depicting any of these subjects.
Your site MUST also be translated into English
so that English-speaking me can read and
comprehend what your site is about! :o)
I'm sorry, but there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

All sites are subject to my final approval.
If you have questions regarding these
simple rules, please email me prior to
possibly wasting your time and mine
by making requests that I can't honor.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but I feel badly
when I can't honor your requests and I
simply don't have the time to respond to
everyone that doesn't qualify to adopt.

The "no right click", "no drag" and "IE 6 toolbar
image disabler" codes must be installed on all
pages in your site that display any adopted graphics
~ all pages with adopted graphics ~
not just the page that you plan to display
my adoption.  This will confirm for me
that you are serious about protecting the
copyrights of the original artists.

I REPEAT:
All THREE codes MUST be installed on your site.
If you don't have all three codes on your
site, you do not qualify to adopt and you
will definitely be wasting my time and yours.

If you need the codes referenced,
you can pick them up for FREE
at
http://www.dynamicdrive.com.

The original artist maintains the
copyright to the adoption and it
may not be altered in any way.  If
you adopt a graphic that I state "can be
personalized", I will be happy to personalize
it for you.  You cannot personalize it
for yourself or anyone else.

My adoption certificate must be
displayed on the same page as the
adopted graphic.  The certificate must
be linked back to Loria's memorial site at
http://www.loriacaulder.com.

Adopted graphics may not be used in e-mails,
posted on message boards or used in any type
of group postings or chat rooms -- period.

You may not offer the adoptable for
download from your site and I ask that
you DO NOT share it with anyone else.
I keep a record of all adoptions mailed out and
this is a problem that seems to be growing.
If you are reported for sharing, you will be
disqualified from any future adopting.
You may display the adoption on the
approved website URL only
.  If you have
more than one URL that you intend to place
the adoption on, each one must be specifically
listed on the adoption request.  At the risk of
sounding redundant, I repeat -- you may
NOT share adopted graphics with friends,
but instead please send the friend to
Loria's site to adopt direct from me.

Some of my graphics are available as
adoptions for your friends.  When this is
available I have stated so on the individual
adoption pages.  You are invited to adopt for
a friend, but the friend's information
must be provided at the time of the
original adoption request.
I will gladly forward adoptions to your friend
that has met my terms of adoption.

Anyone found in violation of my terms
will be asked to remove these graphics
that I have purchased from their site.

To be certain that you have read my terms
of adoption, please include the phrase
"In Loving Memory of Loria" in the
appropriate area on the adoption form.
If you don't include this phrase
I will not respond to your request.

If you have any questions about
my terms, please e-mail me at
loria_memorialNOSPAM@hotmail.com.
Remove the phrase 'NOSPAM' in the
address when e-mailing.  I have total respect
for a person that will ask questions before
making assumptions that break the rules.
:o)

Please note:
Once your request for adoption is received
I will review your site and if approved,
I will forward the adoption to you.
I work a full-time job outside of my home
so please allow me five to seven days to respond
to your request.  After seven days if you
haven't received your adoption and you
have read my terms, please assume
that I didn't receive your request and
re-submit it.  I will not respond
to any requests for adoptables that
have not agreed to my terms.

If you understand and agree to my terms,
use the links on the left and right side of the
pages to navigate my adoptables.  The links
at the bottom of the page will take you back into
the main areas of the website, including the
area where the adoptions I have gathered dwell.

~ IMPORTANT ~

Please limit yourself to five adoptions per day :o)

Thanks for stopping by and have fun shopping!
As of July 3, 2004, I have 630+ adoptions
here for you to choose from.
I hope you'll find something that you
like and can take back to your site!
And before you leave, please consider joining
the mailing list to be the first to know when
I've added new cuties.  And don't forget
to bookmark me for future visits :o)

And please remember that this site is
~ In Loving Memory of Loria ~
and your respect of my terms will be appreciated.
